Szczytem wszystkie byla reklama operatora komorek Ola nalozona na kulminacyjna scene w telenoweli, w ktorej jedna bohaterka dzwonila do drugiej grozac samobojstwem z powodu niewiernosci meza. Wjechal napis Ola na ekran i widzowie mieli wyrazny poglad na to, z jakiego operatora trzeba skorzystac w dramatycznych momentach zycia...
Telenowele - przekonalem sie, ze to co u nas nazywa sie nowela, nie ma z nia nic wspolnego. Tutaj to niemal religia. Leca od rana do nocy. Ludzie wyznaczaja sobie nimi rytm dnia, nimi zyja, o nich rozmawiaja w pracy. Od strony aktorskiej to polaczenie teatru Kabuki i finskich niezaleznych komedii z lat 60tych :) Moze przeginam, ale tak to wyglada. To trzeba zobaczyc. Zaczynam sie wciagac :)
W telewizji reklama spoleczna: kilku mlodych ludzi robi performance na placu w Bogocie skandujac: La guerra es una masacra de personas que no se conocen organizada por personas que si se conocen pero no se masacran. (Wojna to masakra ludzi, ktorzy sie wzajemnie nie znaja zorganizowana przez ludzi,ktorzy owszem znaja sie, ale w masakrze nie biora udzialu). Prawie zapomnialem siedzac pod palma nad basenem, ze w tym kraju toczy sie wojna. Nie wszedzie, my poruszamy sie w bezpiecznych regionach, ale dla nich to nie historia a ponura rzeczywistosc..
A propos wojny, dzis ojciec Luisa, lekarz, spytal czemu Polacy tak nienawidza Hitlera. Dziwne pytanie. Musze chyba wybadac, co ci szczesliwi ludzie z odleglego kontynentu w ogole wiedza o historii Europy :)
Dzis na deser kolumbijskie "jedenaste przykazanie" - "No se puede dar papayas" czyli cos w stylu "Okazja (papaya) czyni zlodzieja". Papaja jest dla mnie ohydna, ale sens jasny. Przestaje juz sie dziwic, czemu z klapy plecaka zginela mi ladowarka. Zaczynam sie dziwic, czemu ja tam zostawilem. Oczywiscie to moglo sie stac takze w Warszawie, Frankfurcie (!) czy Caracas. Nie chce byc niesprawiedliwy :)
Lokalne miasta cholernie gorzyste. Woz Luisa z trudem daje rade. San Francisco sie chowa, powaznie. Jak oni tu zyja?
Zwiedzalismy tez Mariposario - Motylarnie. Najpierw spacer po wielkim parku. Kolumbia ma 300 gatunkow palm, drugie miejsce po Brazylii. Na calym swiecie jest ich 1500. Niezle. Podobno to kraj o najwiekszej roznorodnosci biologicznej na swiecie. Fiu fiu. Niektore roslinki robia wrazenie. Beda fotki. Motyle jakies ospale. Pochowaly sie na nasz widok. Spodobala mi sie za to dwumetrowa makieta mrowki olbrzymki. 3 cm dlugosci. Ukaszenie powoduje dotkliwy bol i opuchlizne przez 24h, ponadto drgawki, goraczke itp. W skrajnych wypadkach zgon. Amazonio, przybywamy :)

Click, click goes the remote control in our hotel room, for lack of a better entertainment. Nothing but Christmas presents commercials. Much more insistent than in our TV channels. The real top was a commercial for Ola mobile phone operator superimposed on the climax scene of a telenovela where a major female character was calling another one threatening to kill herself because her husband was cheating on her. Big friendly Ola banner popped up on the screen to let the audience know which operator to choose in life´s most dramatic moments...
Telenovelas, I learnt that what goes by this name back home has nothing to do with the real McCoy. Here they´re almost a religion, available from dawn to dusk. People use them as a reference to mark the time of day, discuss them at work and seem to treat it as life incarnate. As for the acting skills involved, it´s a combination of the Kabuki theatre and Finnish indie comedies from the 60-ties :) Maybe I´m going too far but that´s the impression I get. You must see it to understand. I´m starting to get hooked :)
A social commercial on TV: a couple of young people stage a performance on a Bogota square shouting: La guerra es una masacra de personas que no se conocen organizada por personas que si se conocen pero no se masacran. (The war is a massacre of people who don´t know one another, organized by people who do know one another but don´t take part in the massacre). Sunbathing under a palm tree by the pool I almost forgot there´s a war going on in this country. Not everywhere, though. We move around safe zones but for these people it´s a gloomy reality rather than history.
Talking about the war, today Luis´s father, a doctor, asked me why is it that Poles hate Hitler so much. Quite a strange question. I need to find out how much these lucky people from the distant continent know about Europe´s history :)
Today´s special: the Colombian eleventh commandment - "No se puede dar papayas" or "unattended papaya makes a thief". To me papaya is disgusting but the meaning is clear. I no longer wonder why my phone charger disappeared from my backpack´s hood. Now I´m rather surprised what made me leave it there . Of course this might just as well have happened in Warsaw, Frankfurt (!) or Caracas. Not to be unjust :)
Local cities are oh sooo hilly. Luis´s "carro" can hardly manage. They beat San Francisco hands down, seriously. How can they live here? We visited a mariposario - a butterfly habitat. But first a tour of a giant botanical garden. Colombia boasts 300 palm tree species out of 1500 known worldwide. Not too bad. Allegedly, it´s a country with the greatest biodiversity in the world. Wow! Some plants are pretty impressive, the photos are coming. Butterflies seem kinda numb, though. They all hide away when they see us. I liked the 2m long maquette of a 3-cm giant ant. Its bite causes severe pain and swelling for 24 hours to come, plus trembling, fever etc. up to death, in extreme cases. Amazon, here we come! They won´t let us connect the USB drive here so we´ll attach the photos at a later time.
